OpenEdge Transforming Conflict developed in 2017 from the collaborations and visions of Andy Mason and Sarri Bater, two scholar-practitioners with extensive experience in non-violent conflict transformation, peace building, reconciliation, and Nonviolent Communication in the UK and internationally. They felt increasingly bound by the restrictions of traditional approaches to conflict, development, social justice and anti-oppression, and wanted to create their own vehicle to fund and run conflict transformation projects of all kinds.
OpenEdge Transforming Conflict registered as a UK Charity in January 2018, Registered Charity Number 1176903.
